Pastors Derek and Melissa Wooten have been in full time ministry together since 2010. They moved to Cincinnati in 2016 to lead Makers Church, and it has been the adventure of a lifetime! Pastor Derek is a native of South Carolina where he graduated from Wofford College with a bachelors degree in Finance. He walked away from a career in the NFL to pursue the calling of the Lord to preach and teach the Gospel. Pastor Derek’s ministry has led him throughout the country teaching and preaching to all generations about the goodness of God! Pastor Melissa, is an Ohio native growing up near Akron, Ohio. She is a graduate of Lee University with a degree in Christian education. Pastor Melissa’s heart is for leading people into the presence of God through worship, teaching, and discipleship. They are very thankful to be a part of what God is doing in and through Makers Church and Cincinnati for God’s Kingdom! They have two children, Brennan and Madilyn, who love Jesus, music, sports, and LaRosa’s!
